Longitudinal Research Study
From June 2021- December 2023 I had the honour of being the lead artist for the 25 year long research programme, Talent 25. Developed and funded jointly by the Arts Council of England and De Montfort University, Leicester, Talent 25 asks the questions: -
"How can we ensure the next generation of creative and culturally engaged citizens?"
We worked with families with babies between 3-12 months of age, many of whom were new to engaging in formalised arts sessions. Along with the research time I developed and facilitated the core programme of delivery as well as creating media content and inputting into the research.
The families were from diverse backgrounds living in areas of deprivation across Leicester. It was an absolute delight to bond with them at such a precious time of their lives, many of them as first time parents and many also new to the UK.
