I choreographed this site specific dance perfomance with the dancers of the Blue Eyed Soul Contact Group. It was created in response to Shrewsbury Market Place. The first thing we did was visit the market place. We spoke to many of the stall holders who were mostly interested and many of them lent us item from their stalls to incorporate into the performance. We rehearsed in a studio, the dancers explored the props and together we devised segments alongside the musician, David Blazye. We then took all of our sections, leaving room for audience participation, down to the market place to perform. Our musician, David Blazye, played live, also leaving room for improvisation in order to respond to the site.
